Shelter to Home
We’re providing furniture and household items to people on the North Shore transitioning from homelessness to independent living.
We believe that acts of compassion can change lives.
Our mission is to provide furniture and household items, at no cost, to people living on the North Shore, who are either transitioning from homelessness to independent living, or who are living on extremely limited incomes. We gratefully accept furniture donations (and financial contributions) from residents of North Vancouver and West Vancouver. We coordinate with local agencies to help our clients establish a comfortable home.
September 2025 Update
In September we furnished a home for 20 clients who were referred to us
-- 7 men, 11 women and 2 children which included 2 families
Referring agencies were Hollyburn, VCHealth, Lookout, NS Community Resources, Impact, Highlands United Church, Directions Youth, City of North Vancouver, District of North Vancouver, City of West Vancouver and three off North Shore agencies.

Shelter to Home is supported by the generous residents of the North Shore through donations of furniture and household goods, and by the financial support of individuals and organizations. Information about our partners is available on the "Community" tab.
How can you help?
We accept gently used furniture and household items from North Shore residents. We welcome cash donations from everyone to cover the cost of storage and moving.
