Helping people create a place called home

Shelter to Home

We’re providing furniture and household items to people on the North Shore transitioning from homelessness to independent living.

We believe that acts of compassion can change lives.

Our mission is to provide furniture and household items, at no cost, to people living on the North Shore, who are either transitioning from homelessness to independent living, or who are living on extremely limited incomes.  We gratefully accept furniture donations (and financial contributions) from residents of North Vancouver and West Vancouver.  We coordinate with local agencies to help our clients establish a comfortable home.

COVID-19 Update

In consideration of the latest public health directives regarding the COVID-19 virus, Shelter to Home is temporarily suspending operations. Our donation line remains open (and calls will be returned), but we are not able to accept or collect donations nor, at present, assist clients. Updates will be posted on our Facebook page. We are very sorry for the impact that this interruption may have on our clients, whom we hope we will be able to help soon. Take care, all.

Shelter to Home is supported by the generous residents of the North Shore through donations of furniture and household goods, and by the financial support of individuals and organizations.  Information about our partners is available on the "Community" tab.

How can you help?

We accept gently used furniture and household items from North Shore residents.  We welcome cash donations from everyone to cover the cost of storage and moving.
