We have helped to furnish two Community of Care homes in the past few years. (COC is a joint venture between CMHA and a sponsor church.) Working with CMHA and a member of the North Shore Alliance Church, we completely furnished a five bedroom home with $25,000 worth of furniture donated by IKEA. We worked with a team from Capilano Christian Community to furnish a second home. Recently, one woman and her family have moved on to independent living, so, once again this month, our team has worked with CMHA to furnish the 2 bedroom suite and one of the upstairs rooms. Three new clients will be moving into the home in May.
