Robert* had his life turned upside-down when he suffered a traumatic head injury. After months recuperating in the hospital he was unable to return to his job. He exhausted his savings and his sole income came from government disability pensions and old age pension. After periods of homelessness, with the help of agencies on the North Shore, he was able to secure a place to live. He came to our team during the COVID 19 pandemic. We were able to help him because of the IKEA furniture we had received. Robert says, “To me I.K.E.A. is an acronym for Incredible Kindness Extended to All”.
